The main cause of water imbalances in cooling towers is the precipitation of carbonates (alkalinity) and calcium (hardness) at high pH levels, resulting from the continuous evaporation of pure water and the subsequent replenishment of feedwater. GEODESIC's equipment not only removes limescale from the installation's electrodes (carbonates and calcium) but also monitors the pH to ensure the water is neither corrosive nor scale-causing, without the need for excessive purging.
All GEODESIC installations include an automated sand filter that maintains controlled turbidity. Furthermore, a mathematical model developed by GEODESIC permanently monitors water alkalinity and hardness (Langelier Index), ensuring water stability against corrosion and scaling.
The technology is based on "electroporation," a patented concept that generates an electrical potential between an anode and a cathode that destroys the bacterial membrane, killing it. At the same time, free chlorine is generated from the chlorides present in the water.
The use of GEODESIC technology achieves savings of 100% in chemical products (biocides and antiscalants), up to 80% in purge water as less purge is required to maintain water balance, 100% in the cost of some monthly analyses by unifying circuits, and a percentage of maintenance.
The most important thing is to have a continuous water treatment system that guarantees the prevention of bacterial growth. A hygienic and sanitary maintenance plan for the facility will also be necessary.

For industrial installations, GEODESIC offers a no-obligation period of several months during which the client can withdraw from the contract at any time without penalty. They will only pay the fee up to that point. After this period, the client is committed to the contract for the duration of the contract.
